Serial production of the Audi e-tron began in Neckarsulm, Germany, where the R8 supercars and rechargeable hybrids based on the A6, A7 and A8 models are also being assembled. Orders are already being accepted in Germany: the basic version costs 100,000 euros, and the RS version – 138,000 euros.
